Steam Lines / Tanks / Boilers / Valves
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 conserves energy by containing the heat while reducing the surface temperature providing safety and reducing risk of burns. In addition, Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 serves as a protective coating against corrosion eliminating problems from saturation and sagging which are typical characteristics of fiberglass.
1 coat or a 20 mil application can greatly reduce temperature (60ºF to 80ºF) on hot surfaces. Additional coats contribute a reduction of temperature between 40ºF & 45ºF.Replacing fiberglass with Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 reduces pipe sizes and increases usable space. Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 can be applied directly to hot surfaces with minimal surface preparation and without plant shutdown. Basic maintenance of Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 is simply washing it clean with a fire hose. In the event that the product needs to be removed, it can be cut and scrapped or sanded. The dust created from sanding the product is considered nuisance dust and contains no harmful material.
Valves
Costly maintenance repair exits when insulation is removed and an outage takes place. Costs of up to $140,000.00 per hr. exist to the end user when systems are not operating. Most valves are uninsulated due to these loss incurred.
Insulating valves is simplified with Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 and is positively maintenance friendly. Envirotrol, Inc. and their Certified Applicators work hand in hand with the end-user's maintenance teams.
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 being applied at 80 mils dft to reduce existing temperature of 280ºF to 120ºF. If maintenance is needed, insulation will not be breached.
Temperature Tests
Below are some temperature results from a 150 pound steam line 16 inches in diameter
coated with Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100. The surface temperature was measured at 340ºF
before the coating was applied. Temperature reduction during application is charted below:
After 75 to 80 mils of Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 the follow-up temperature measurements were taken:
The following results for coating an endothermic gas generator and backup tank. The main
generator oven surface temperature was 202ºF.
The Back-Up Tank had a surface temperature of 180ºF. A coating of 35 mils of Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 was applied to the surface and decreased the temperature to 98ºF. Each coat of Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 reduced the temperature by 41ºF.
Case Study #1
20 to 30 mils of Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 was sprayed to the hot evaporator duct lines entering tanks located at a pulp and paper mill in the southeast. The evaporator duct line temperatures were reduced from 184ºF to 118ºF.
Case Study #2
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 reduced surface temperatures where a conventional coating system was applied for color coating, and aesthetics.
Case Study #3
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 reduced surface temperatures where a conventional coating system was applied for color coating, and aesthetics.
Ceramic Cover CC System 100
Insulation
Test results have proven that one coat or 20 mil of Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 eliminates radiant heat and reduces temperature greatly (60ºF to 80ºF degrees) on hot surfaces. Additional coats contribute a reduction in temperature between 40ºF to 45ºF.
Protection from UV Rays
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 can be applied directly over composites with 100% adhesion and no chemical adverse effect (i.e. tar roofing, asphalt shingles, paint, etc.) providing protection against UV Rays as well as insulating.
Adhesion
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 reaches full adhesive strength prior to final cure. Also based on disbondment within the coating, Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 shows an actual stronger bond to the substrate surface.
Flame Resistance
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 flame spread is rated 5 out of 100 according to Southwest Research Institute, Department of Fire Technology in San Antonio, TX and MSDS sheet reports flash point noncombustible. Therefore, Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 can be applied directly to hot surfaces in a wide temperature ranging from 34ºF to 400ºF without shut down.
Corrosion Protection
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 has no air pockets, therefore it impedes condensation, stops corrosion and has no loss of insulation properties when wet.
Condensation
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 has properties that are impervious to the environment such as a fungal-pesticide resistance - rating of 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest). Additional tests have been administered: wind driven rain, hot/cold cycling, and chemical resistance. In each test and/or analysis, Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 "tested in the highest percentiles" of available products.
Chemical Resistance
Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 is an 84% solid latex high density material low in viscosity coating with high insulating properties and chemical resistance.
Chemical Content
Harland Associates Research Lab in San Francisco, CA, reports Ceramic Cover CC Systems 100 as having
0 (zero) grams of volatile organic compounds, (VOC's) less water per liter, and "is a compliant
coating with regard to VOC content requirement of the Bay Area,
Air Quality Management District," one of the strictly controlled air quality management districts in the U.S.A.
